About me & Pretty Scrum

Hi, I’m Maurice, the founder of Pretty Scrum.

I built Pretty Scrum because I wanted to make Scrum certification preparation more efficient.

When I prepared for the Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) exam, I used Udemy mock exams to practice. They helped me understand the format and test my knowledge, but I quickly noticed problems with the learning experience.

The questions often repeated even when I already knew the answer. The platform was not designed for short learning sessions, and studying on my phone while commuting to work was frustrating. Udemy is simply not optimized for mobile. I was spending too much time reviewing things I already understood instead of focusing on the areas where I could actually improve.

I dislike inefficiency, especially when it comes to learning.

That frustration led me to build Pretty Scrum.

About me

I’m Maurice Heinze, and I have always enjoyed building things that solve real problems. My journey started at 17 when I created my first product, and I have been building digital products ever since.

Creating Langoosh, a language learning platform used by nearly 70,000 learners in Germany, showed me how powerful the right learning experience can be. That experience also inspired me to build Pretty Scrum. A tool designed to make professional learning more focused, efficient, and enjoyable.
